Hampstead Heath Park forest

Sheathed Woodtuft - Kuehneromyces mutabilis
It was taken in Lennox Forest, which is mostly coniferous woodland situated about 10 miles north of Glasgow.
Snails up a tree
The picture was taken in a small forest in Aalborg, Denmark in early October. In the fall it rains quite a bit here, and the snails take to the trees to avoid getting too wet.

This is the 400th post of the I love forest blog. :)
forest setting
It is in British Columbia in the Brandywine Provincial Park about 20 minutes south of Whistler, Bristish Columbia where the 2010 winter Olympics will be held in February.
Bientôt nu!!!
The photo was taken near a golf course (Apremont Savoie France) during a bike trip. I love the Autumn's lights, with colors of nature and this tree was just beautiful.
Forest Hills Park
The picture was taken today in Forest Hills, Pennsylvania. It's a small town not many miles outside of Pittsburgh. In that town there is a park surrounded by trees and at the very center of the park are open spaces for children and adults to play and run. It is not a large park but it IS very pretty.
The fall leaves are just right today. Read more at vanillaicing.typepad.com

US Forest Service PSA project
As proud parents, we love showing off all the pictures and paintings that our children create. Now these works of art can also win you a fantastic prize.
The Discover the Forest sweepstakes is an interactive photo/art sweepstakes that encourages kids to head into the forest and return with a photo or piece of artwork that somehow represents their journey. Simply upload the picture on our website and we’ll post the pictures on the gallery so your friends and family can check them out and even vote on the ones they like best.
All those that submit artwork are eligible to win a $100 or $1000 The North Face Gift Certificate! Also, anyone who votes is eligible to win a $50 The North Face Gift Certificate! It's a great incentive to get your families and friends to check out your child's masterpiece online.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts about this sweepstakes. You can check it out here: youcastcorp.com/r/discovertheforestsweeps
Forest

The photo was taken in a Morton Arboretum (www.mortonarb.org) which is right outside Chicago, Illinois.
Schwarzwaldbahn bei Triberg
I took the photo during a field trip exploring the terrain for a themed trail which will help visitor enjoying this railway. It was built in the 19th century through a rough part of the Black Forest mountains - a real challenge for the engineer. He built a track with only few bridges but 34 tunnels - some making a loop inside the mountain.
Our trail will lead through a great diversity of different forests with some beautiful views on the still functional railways.
Forest in the Ruhrgebiet
The forest where I took the photo is near the 'Ruhrgebiet', one of the biggest industrial areas in Europe. But since coalmines are closed nature is coming back more and more!
My nephews
A nice walk in the forest around the corner, with my family :P It's a really small forest in Zwolle, The Netherlands.
Cut You a Piece
If I could take a piece of fall for you, and send it far away...I'd walk into any forest here.... close my eyes and cut away...a square.... just for you....This would be your piece. This would be my home..this is Ontario. This is Fall
Went out with Matt and Megan (no Flickr Account yet!!! and I mean YET) to Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington Ontario.

This photo was taken on the Isle of Ruegen in the German part of the Baltic Sea near the coastal resort Seebad Baabe.

I was fed up with looking at my feet...
This shot was taken in France (center), it's a beautiful forest named "Forêt d'Anet" where you can find old oaks like this one...

Ithaca, NY: Cornell's Old Growth Forest
The forest is called the Fischer Tract and it is on an unlabeled path leading away from Route 13 in Newfield, New York. It is a special plot of old growth forest that has been protected and by nearby Cornell University.
Technically what you see in the picture isn't really old growth since I was standing at the edge of the plot looking back towards the way we entered the forest, so the most of the trees and underbrush in the picture are much younger.
Looking South
This photo was taken in the foothills of Alberta on October 2nd 2009. The location is a semi wilderness area called the Wildcat Hills. This tract of land has been designated a reserve that will never see widespread development - which means there is already a road and a gas plant.
enchanted forest

(photo: grace.m'09)
I took this photo while walking the local library grounds and came upon this little forest. These are actually two pictures merged together and there are many forests around here, but some are not passable.
Inarzo
This picture is about a forest nearby th
e famouse "Brabbia marsh" during an autumnal foggy morning: a real paradise for birdwatching nearby Varese (Lombardia, Italy).
Foto scattata ad Inarzo (Varese, Italia) durante una giornata nebbiosa.
HDR image obtained from 3 different RAW files with ±1ev bracketing.
Canon Eos 50D + Canon 24-105 @ 40mm, 1/125-1/250-1/500s, f/10, ISO640.
Forest Fire
The shot I took was of a forest fire burning in northern Arizona on my way to Monument Valley. I stopped by the side of the highway and the smell of smoke was very powerful. There were still open flames in the brush and I took several shots, this one being the last. It was surprisingly peaceful, with just the sound of fire crackling in the distance.
Woodland Scene
I took this at Bluebell woods which is located at a place called Cox Green situated north of Penshaw Monument in Tyne and Wear.

The pic was taken in Anshi Forest in the Western Ghats situated in North Karnataka, India in the wee hours of the morning.
